Webcomic Blog | My Avian Neighbors

I was tasked to create a website that could educate the layperson on any scientific information of my choosing for my Science Writing for the Public final project. I decided to go for a casual and fun online comic blog about my experiences as a birdwatcher.

My original goal was to have my comics target UC Santa Barbara students who did not necessarily have a lot of knowledge about birds, which was done through documenting campus-specific birds and locations.

The comic format would hopefully also attract a larger audience through combining images, text, and story. This targeted audience was mostly an artifact of how I simply wanted to document my encounters through a method I found enjoyable, and thus used a personal narrative to frame each comic.
